We’re Hiring: Associate, Marketing & Outreach

We are seeking a new Associate, Marketing & Outreach to join our team to help us amplify our influence and impact in the investment and financial services industry!

The Associate, Marketing & Outreach plays a critical role in helping us deliver engaging, effective, and high-impact marketing and outreach efforts across the organization. This position supports multiple departments, including Marketing & Communications, Next Generation Program, and Corporate Relations & Business Development, and touches many different areas of our work.

You’ll lead the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content across platforms, help produce and distribute our e-newsletters, support integrated marketing campaigns for events and programs, and develop marketing collateral to promote student, candidate, and next generation initiatives. You’ll also support marketing activities tied to advertising products, job board postings, and inbound advertising and sponsorship requests.

This is a highly collaborative and dynamic role where no two days are exactly the same. Some days you’ll be writing social posts and newsletters; other days you’ll be building sales decks, creating digital assets, or helping coordinate outreach campaigns to prospective members or sponsors. Whatever you're working on, you take pride in getting the details right and delivering excellent work on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications (40%)

  • Develop and schedule social media content across social media channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Blue Sky, Substack, YouTube, and X.
  • Serve as CFA Society Toronto staff lead on Social Media Committee.
  • Assist in video content creation (concepting, scripting, filming, editing, captioning) for social media and digital campaigns
  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of e-newsletters and member communications.
  • Support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Provide support on media relations activities.
  • Assist with website content updates and basic page maintenance.
  • Conduct analytics reporting for digital marketing campaigns (social media, email, and website).

Corporate Relations & Business Development (30%)

  • Provide marketing support for advertising and sponsorship opportunities across multiple channels.
  • Handle and process inbound advertising and job posting requests.
  • Assist in maintaining CRM databases and preparing client-facing materials.
  • Assist in prepare sales support materials, including decks, reports, and agreements as needed.

Next Generation Program (Student & Candidate Outreach) (25%)

  • Create and update marketing collateral, including flyers, digital assets, and presentations to support outreach and recruitment.
  • Assist in promoting events, webinars, and networking opportunities for students and CFA candidates.
  • Support with campaign execution to drive awareness and participation in Next Generation programs.

General (5%)

  • Support cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Provide administrative assistance for ongoing department initiatives and projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Production, or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or association management.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms and mass e-mail distribution systems
  • Graphic, audio, and video editing experience with programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and exercise diplomacy and judgement, to effectively work with end users and members of a project team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Self-reliant, drive and initiative, and sound judgment
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team
  • Must be able to work in hybrid work environment
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
This is a full-time position. CFA Society Toronto works in a hybrid office model, and the position is required to work in the office on a regular basis. CFA Society Toronto’s office is located in downtown Toronto at the corner of York Street and Adelaide Street.

Salary Range: $50 - $60K
