VOLUNTEER: MING YEUNG

Volunteer: Ming Yeung

Ming Yeung, CFA, is a Professor at George Brown College and a CFA Society Toronto Volunteer.

Ming has been a volunteer for many years, and now volunteer his time for the External Relations Committee.

"I have dedicated over a decade of service to CFAST in various capacities—ranging from committee chair, mentor, panelist, networker, academic advisor, event judge, and event volunteer. Each of these roles provided a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for development and critical dialogue.

The virtues of volunteering are deeply personal and universally resonant. Volunteering nurtures compassion, fosters resilience, and reinforces the notion that we are part of something greater than ourselves. Every session of thoughtful grading, every carefully written exam question, every peer review, and every standard set is not just an obligation—it is an opportunity for growth. Serving as a mentor or a panelist with CFAST has allowed me to not only contribute concretely to important projects and discussions but also to instill confidence and clarity in the next generation of professionals. These acts of service have, in many ways, shaped me as a leader and as a compassionate member of my community."
