Accounting for Sustainability Survey 2018

The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) was established by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2004 “to help ensure that we are not battling to meet 21st century challenges with, at best, 20th century decision making and reporting systems”. A4S aims to make sustainable decision making business as usual by inspiring a fundamental shift towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy.

The financial and accounting systems that underpin our economy focus on short term financial outcomes and do not adequately reflect the dependency of our economic success on the health and stability of our communities and the natural environment.  Companies, investors and governments are recognizing that long term sustainable performance relies on an understanding of the interdependency between financial, social and environmental factors. Action and leadership is needed to drive change so that sustainability becomes embedded in organizations’ strategy, operations and reporting.

Please find here a link to a two minute survey being run by The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) for all finance professionals, to understand the current perceptions and attitudes to sustainability within the accounting and finance community.  The survey is designed for anyone who works within finance, and the results will inform A4S's annual Summit hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales in late November.  More details about A4S can be found below.  We invite you to complete the survey by 9th November 2018.  All responses will remain anonymous.

The directory consists of members who have had their CFA charter for more than five years and have areas of expertise that they are willing to share by accepting phone calls or taking part in media interviews. We have also added a new section for members who have had their charters for three to five years. There are over 25 investment-related areas showcased in the directory.
