CFA Society Toronto and Hillsdale Investment Management Inc. are committed to advancing the knowledge of investment management practices through the publication of quality academic and practitioner-relevant research. The Financial Journalism Awards exist to acknowledge the contributions of Canadian based financial publications and journalists who show true commitment to high professional standards. Our goal is to identify and recognize the publications and journalists who have made the greatest journalistic contribution to improving transparency, strengthening investor education and supporting CFA Society Toronto's efforts to shape a trustworthy, forward thinking financial industry that better serves society.

CFA Society Toronto recognizes the sacrifice and dedication to service made by the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). With our common values in dedication, integrity, and pride in our profession, we are pleased to provide a scholarship program aimed to support the transition of CAF personnel into a civilian career in the field of finance by awarding:

• Exam, registration fees and preparatory courses for all three levels
• CFA program preparation courses & mock exams through Kaplan Schweser
• Access to CFA Society Toronto's support network

CFA Institute offers a variety of scholarships to allow more people to participate in the CFA Program.  This initiative is part of our community’s commitment to promoting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence.

Third- and fourth-year finance and economics students can apply and submit an essay for one of our three scholarships. The first-place winner will receive $3,000, second-place winner $2,000 and the third-place winner $1,000 (CAD). There are six total scholarships awarded (three for 3rd-year and three for 4th (final)-year students). Submission deadline: 19 November 2023.
